A consortium of three technology leaders have joined forces to digitize Ethiopia’s judicial system. The Office of the Attorney General has signed the contract to digitalize the country’s justice infrastructure, the National Integrated Justice Information System.
The project will enable entities under the Ethiopian judicial umbrella have an integrated IT system. It addresses the ever-growing need for statistical data and management information system by the police, the prosecutor, the courts, correctional institutions and other judicial bodies.
The agreement was signed in Addis Ababa, the capital of Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia on 11 April 2018 between the Vice Federal Attorney Mrs. Muhibbah Adem and representatives of the consortium companies.
Patrick Osta, Chief Executive of Alrowad IT Solutions, representing the company in the signing ceremony said: “Today, technology is the backbone of everything. This project will not only build capacity in the government sector in Ethiopia but will also enrich the technology experience in Eastern Africa”.
